At the 2003 NSAA National Convention and Trade Show, Angel Fire Resort, the Southwest's premier year-round alpine recreation destination, was recognized with the "Best Program To Convert New Participants to Core Participants" award for its "You Keep The Gear" program. The program allows guests who sign up for ski or snowboard lessons to use brand new equipment and keep the gear once their lesson is complete. The package also includes half-price lift tickets for the guest's return visit.

Essential to this program, and other Angel Fire offerings, is Salesware, the industry leading integrated ticketing, point-of-sale and guest management technology from Siriusware. Since 1996, Angel Fire has used Salesware’s features and modules to help collect, process, track and report guest information.

"We chose Siriusware because they have the most feature rich offering out there, "said Dan Jones, systems administrator for Angel Fire Resort. "Besides allowing us to seamlessly track sales, schedule lessons and rent gear, the software also automates our back-end accounting processes and allows us to integrate our entire membership database with the Passes feature."
For example, when a guest purchases a "You Keep The Gear" package, Siriusware collects the point-of-sale data and automatically prints the guest’s half-price lift ticket vouchers. From there, Angel Fire can process the data, print a report and analyze the program’s overall success. Similarly, Siriusware also monitors and manages visitor information for Angel Fire’s "OneTicket" program. This program allows guests to purchase a three, four or five day ski pass and then exchange a day of skiing to experience other activities available through the resort, such as snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and massages. Siriusware gathers the activity exchange information, prints out vouchers for the selected activity and then automatically transfers the information to the resort’s back-end accounting and reporting processes.

"We are pleased that Angel Fire is benefiting from our technology," said Mark Danemann, president of Siriusware, Inc. "In addition to helping facilitate their innovative, and now award winning programs, we are happy that they have greater control over sales, are experiencing a simplified sales process and have lowered operational costs."

"When it comes to development, Siriusware is not resting on their laurels," Jones said. "They are continually adding features to their software and I am always confident that I will get what I need from them."
