| Each season, the Founders of Crystal Mountain,
WA, received dividends in the form of lift tickets. If a Founder had 20
shares, they received 20 lift tickets. To improve efficiency and accuracy
Crystal Mountain turned to Debitware (now In-House Cards) for a management
solution. Each Founder was issued a debit card from Salesware. At the beginning of each season, the dollar value of each Founder’s dividend is added to their card. Instead of receiving a stack of tickets and being limited solely to the use of lift tickets, Founders can now use the card at any sales point for any purchase. Each purchase decrements the balance on the Founder’s card and prints the remaining balance on the sales receipt. Crystal Mountain now tracks and maintains the redemption of Founder dividends through simple, robust reports in ReportManager. “We like things that are simple and efficient to use,” said John Gerike, Controller and IT Manager of Crystal Mountain Ski Area. “Our Founders’ Program was a source of considerable heartache. Now we have control and accountability, without additional restriction. In fact, our Founders have greater flexibility than ever.” |
