Since 1957, Holiday Valley has prided itself as being the number one ski and snowboard resort in Western New York. With 1,100 acres, 52 slopes and 12 lifts, Holiday Valley serves thousands of skiers, snowboarders, golfers and bikers annually.

To continue with this commitment, for the past six years, Holiday Valley has relied on Siriusware, Inc.’s technology to collect and interpret visitor information so that the resort can provide its guests with a wide variety of programs. Holiday Valley also relies on Siriusware to help improve its operational efficiencies.

"Siriusware has helped us improve our business operations in many ways," said Joe Myers, IT manager for Holiday Valley. "Not only have they helped us eliminate long lift ticket lines, but they’ve also allowed us to expand our visitor offerings and gain new efficiencies with our staff."

For example, in the first year of Holiday Valley’s partnership with Siriusware, Siriusware helped the resort move to a timed lift ticket method from a session ticket method. This change gave
guests more flexibility around resort visits and reduced ticket and lift lines. Salesware’s Charge Cards, Passes and In-House Cards features have also helped the flow of ticket lines and allowed the resort to rotate staff based on new traffic cycles.

Holiday Valley’s award winning New Skier program was also developed based on information generated by Siriusware technology. As visitors enter the resort’s ski center, Siriusware’s system collects their information and then almost instantly, prints out a discount card for the guest. Once the discount card has been issued, the resort can track the guest’s in-resort purchase behaviors and the total number of visits they make to the resort. When visitors are at Holiday Valley, resort staff can also redirect guests to other programs they haven’t experienced yet at the resort.

"Their technology keeps getting better and better," Myers said. "Siriusware has grown from just a ticketing system to a complete resort management system, which is what our resort needs."
