Over the past 23 years, Perfect North Ski Area in Indiana has grown its business by implementing a variety of programs that encourage the locals to ski. With as many as 7,000 participating members, its Club Pass program has proven to be the ski area's most popular.

Perfect North's Club Pass Program provides discounted ski packages to kids involved in school clubs and community-based organizations. The six-week packages, which include lift tickets, rentals and lessons, are available every January and allow club members to select the weekdays they want to ski. But as the ski area grew, so did the challenge of effectively tracking Club Pass members.

The implementation of Salesware's E-Commerce module Webware allows members to purchase Club Program passes online instead of at the ticket booth, helping Perfect North better track and manage visitor information. Each Club benefits from customized pricing, so access is controlled by a user name and password. This ensures that only those products and their specific prices are presented to the on-line guest. Once the sale is processed, members receive their passes in the mail without ever going near a ticket window or line.

"The process of issuing Club passes used to be very resource and process intensive for us. Many times we would need to hire extra people just to help us track the passes purchased," said Jonathan Davis, IT Manager of Perfect North. "Now with Webware, once a Club's credit card information is on file, the information is directly sent to our credit card server and then transferred to the cardholder's bank for verification, without the need for any human interaction."

With the help of the Salesware application suite, Perfect North has grown into a ski area where visitors spend less time in long ticket lines and more time on the slopes.
