| As the only public museum in the United States
dedicated to espionage, the International Spy Museum features the largest
collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on public display.
Located in Washington DC, the museum houses stories from individual spies
that are told through artifacts, historical narrative, multi-media, multi-sensory
exhibits and exciting environments. The Malrite Company, creator and owner of the International Spy Museum, develops innovative museum and educational projects nationwide. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, The Malrite Company consists of research directors, top museum and exhibition designers, innovative video and computer developers, and leading architects and interior designers. When the Malrite team was conducting a needs analysis for the Spy Museum, it decided that in order for the Spy Museum to accurately collect guest information and efficiently process revenue data, it needed an integrated point-of-sale system for its ticketing and retail functions. |
| "We wanted a tightly woven integrated solution across all revenue components,"
said James Gomez, chief accounting officer for The Malrite Company. "After reviewing other software
vendors, we selected Siriusware because of their integrated approach to
point-of-sale and because Siriusware was the only internally developed Windows-based
system that offered solutions for both ticketing and retail. The Salesware
suite is helping the Spy Museum lower its IT staffing costs while minimizing
its back of the house maintenance and hardware costs." Siriusware has also helped the Spy Museum develop cross-functional selling between its museum and retail stores. Spy Museum guests can now purchase Siriusware-generated gift cards, or SpyBucks, that can be redeemed at museum and retail locations. Through the SpyBucks program, the Siriusware system also automatically provides membership discounts and captures members’ purchase history. "The Spy Museum utilizes the Salesware suite for all of its daily operations," said Mark Danemann, president of Siriusware, Inc. "Applications and features such as Retail, Passes, Private Booking, Gate Access, Charge Cards and In-House Cards, and modules such as SysManager and ReportManager, provide the foundation for the Spy Museum’s seamlessly integrated system." |
