Storyeum is a new underground tourist attraction located in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia’s Gastown district. Designed as a storytelling venue for Canada’s West Coast history, the attraction is the size of six hockey rinks and spans a total of 104,000 square feet.

Storyeum is operated by HXP Inc., a privately held Canadian company that creates historical-themed attractions filled with storytelling experiences using live performances, sets and special effects. When Storyeum opens in June 2004, staff expect 800,000 visitors in the first year, which is in line with the top three attractions in Vancouver.

Offering a unique learning and entertainment experience, Storyeum runs 80-minute tours every 30 minutes. These storytelling performances "edutain" 150 visitors at a time about specific events, times and eras in Western Canada’s history. Because of the unique scheduling and capacity requirements, when researching software vendors, Storyeum needed a ticketing and point-of-sale solution that would offer real time inventory based on show schedules and maximum capacity needs.

Storyeum implemented Siriusware’s Ticketing, Reservations, Retail, Food and Beverage and Facilities Booking features and modules. Because travel groups are a key part of their business, Storyeum also uses Siriusware’s group booking feature in their environment.
