It is not necessary to rent a car in Portland. The Portland Downtown Waterfront Marriott is within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, nightlife, museums, and more. The Portland International Airport (PDX) is located 12.5 miles from the hotel. There are several ways that you can get to the hotel:

By Car: See a map

Take the ramp onto I-205 S toward Portland (I-84)/Salem – go 3.1 miles
Take exit #21B/Portland onto I-84 W – go 5.4 miles
Take the Salem/Beaverton LEFT exit onto Morrison Bridge toward City Center/Morrison St – go 0.9 miles
Take the ramp onto SW Natio Parkway, Portland, on the Right

By Taxi: Taxi services are a great deal if you are traveling with more than 2 people. Taxis are readily available from the airport and one-way is approximately $30. The taxi ride duration is about 15-20 minutes. There will also be Town Car/Limos available at the arrivals area of the Portland International Airport, this service is usually $40-$50 each way.

By Shuttle: Blue Star Shuttle Service (503-249-1837) runs from the airport to Downtown hotels on a 1/2 hour basis. The cost is $14/person one-way and $24/person round trip

By TriMet/Max: The TriMet/Max train from the airport will take about 40 minutes and costs $2.05/one-way. The stop that is closest to the hotel is the Morrison/SW 3rd Ave MAX Station which is approximately 8 blocks from the Marriott Downtown Waterfront. See a map
